SAP, a leading German software company, has revealed its plans to establish a new board area called customer services and delivery with the aim of accelerating cloud growth and adoption. The company announced that this new area will be led by Thomas Saueressig, an executive board member since 2019 who has been with the company since 2004.
Starting from April 1, Muhammad Alam, who recently joined SAP in January 2022 as the president and chief product officer for the intelligent spend and business network, will succeed Saueressig. In his new role, Alam will assume responsibility for SAP's product-engineering area and will become a member of the executive board.
The creation of the customer services and delivery board area reflects SAP's commitment to supporting customers in their cloud transformation journey, driving innovation adoption, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. By dedicating specific resources to these areas, SAP is reinforcing its focus on assisting customers in leveraging the full potential of the cloud.
