SoftwareOne Holding, a software and cloud solutions provider based in Switzerland, has announced the appointment of former SAP executive Rohit Nagarajan as president and chief revenue officer. Additionally, the company has confirmed ongoing discussions with private-equity firm Bain Capital regarding a possible takeover.
SoftwareOne's board anticipates concluding these talks and providing shareholders with an update on the outcome of the strategic review by the end of January. While it remains uncertain whether an offer will arise from the discussions with Bain, SoftwareOne remains committed to keeping investors informed.
This announcement comes in response to media reports that Bain's proposal of nearly 3 billion Swiss francs ($3.53 billion) failed to gain support from SoftwareOne's board, causing the bid to stall. These reports emerged following SoftwareOne's initiation of a strategic review in July after rejecting an unsolicited proposal from Bain.
In addition to this news, SoftwareOne has welcomed Nagarajan to its executive team. As the former head of SAP's operations in northern Europe, he brings valuable experience and expertise to his role. Nagarajan will immediately focus on sales and identifying strategic growth opportunities for the company.
